ĘÎ1017 Salmus: Salmonid Fish and Freshwater Pearl Mussel - Riverine Ecosystem Service and Biodiversity in the Green Belt of Fennoscandia (SALMUS) (ENI CBC “Kolarctic” project), 2019–2021

The aim of the project is to conserve biodiversity and protect endangered and red-listed species (populations of freshwater pearl mussel and juvenile salmonid fish) in rivers of the Green Belt of Fennoscandia. While conserving and improving the condition of aquatic ecosystems, the project at the same time aims to enhance the social and economic well-being of people by promoting eco-tourism and supporting the fulfillment of Russia’s international commitments in the protection of rare animal species.
