The project «Ordinary Man in a Great War» is aimed at improvement of the infrastructure around memorials related to two countries military history of the 1940s, increase of the level of knowledge on military history and use of the gained information at the cultural events both in Russia and Finland. The purpose of the project is to develop tourism in the project target areas by enhancing the competence of specialists working for cultural and tourism institutions and tourism attractiveness of the historical and cultural sites.
The KarRC RAS as the Lead Partner is to ensure the effective project implementation and the Partners` network coordination. Moreover, the KarRC RAS researchers will actively participate in mapping, information gathering and analysis of the publications and archival materials.
